Exercise is Medicine on Campus Month

Fitness Guidance for Chronic Disease Management

Exercise has proven to be beneficial in the prevention and treatment of many chronic diseases. It is therefore recommended to establish healthy physical activity habits in our daily life. Although there are many accessible fitness facilities at HKU, it might still be difficult for beginners to start exercise training due to the lack of experience and confidence to work-out in a gym setting.

The CSE embraces the mission of promoting exercise training to those in need and helping people to establish a healthy lifestyle.  As an extension of our EIM initiative, we are delighted to offer FREE fitness guidance during the EIM Month to people with chronic diseases: such as high cholesterol, overweight, hypertension, high blood glucose, osteoporosis. With help from our Exercise Specialists, we will help you with a training programme specifically tailored to your health condition. More importantly, this training programme is offered outside your work hours. So if you have chronic health conditions and not sure how to start your exercise routine, come and join our programme for Free!
