Exercise is Medicine Initiatives

Exercise is Medicine for Health

With the Exercise is Medicine on Campus initiative, we believe that physical activity is integral in the prevention and treatments of diseases and should be regularly assessed and “treated” as part of all healthcare. The many benefits of physical activity are continually backed by mounting research and is often considered as effective as medicine when it comes to prevention of death from diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

With the EIM Medical Referral and Personal Fitness Guidance programmes we made a start in helping people gain a healthier and more active lifestyle by introducing them to exercise training, as well as giving them the right tools to start being  more active.

We understand that some people might need more assistance with kickstarting their exercise habit, hence we are offering the Exercise is Medicine for Health training programme as a follow-up. This programme consists of 8 group training sessions spread out over a period of 4 weeks, where each participants will follow their own training programme. Through assistance in proper and effective exercise training from our Exercise Specialists our clients gradually develop their exercise habit over time.

Being a follow-up programme, participation of the Exercise is Medicine for Health training programme is by invite only.
