That brings to an end another Exercise is Medicine Month. On behalf of the Centre of Sports and Exercise, we would like to express our gratitude to all the participants who supported the activities of the EIM Month in May 2018. We hope that the activities and seminars provided are able to motivate you in engaging in regular physical activity, as well as increasing your awareness of its health-related benefits.
The HKU Walking Challenge was a platform to bring together the HKU community with the common objective of walking together around the world. Since over 18 countries participated and helped us amass together a total of 463,447,412 steps, we asked people to share their stories, some of which are highlighted below!
Congratulations! With the combined effort of over 1500 people from 18 countries enthusiastically participating in the HKU "Around the World" Walking Challenge, in one month we were able to amass together a total of 463,447,412 steps, which is virtually equivalent to 7 times around the world!
In just 3 weeks time we have taken 339,203,000 steps! That is more than 5 times around the world!!! What a brilliant achievement HKUIan!
